The Eclipse New Moon 20th April gives us alive awake energy and sense of power.
Sun and Moon are at 5 Aries using the sidereal zodiac of Vedic Astrology (that’s 29 Aries in the Western Tropical Zodiac)

The Nature of Aries:
So this means the New Moon carries the power and action energy of Aries, which some of us may feel is so overdue, so needed to feel and ride in our life-path.
And Aries is ruled by Mars: it’s pure warrior energy: the drive for victory of our desires and needs. It’s Fire energy. It’s Leadership Courage and Energy-focused. (But see below. As a separate to understand issue: Mars energy is wounded now).
Plus there’s a genuine increase in the Power that we can use to express and embody and achieve:
BOTH to achieve our NEW goals
AND to bring to success our LONG-STANDING project attempts that might just not have been getting anywhere!
What are your AMBITIONS?
Have you been feeling you’ve been getting nowhere in your key projects?
Have you been feeling your crucial goals just aren’t coming to fruition?
Now is the time!
And crucially, this is an Eclipse. It’s dam-burst energy. It will stay in this area of the heavens for a year or two.
The Nature of Pluto:
Pluto is square this Eclipse. Pluto is our power, including our buried power, including our potential for needed death and rebirth.
It’s place in our chart can also show where we need to heal power used over us, or situation where we are cut-off from our power in this life.

But, also: BEWARE failing to look before you leap! The danger potential of Lilith square Uranus is that your anger could bubble up and overspill and get obsessed.
Jupiter in the Gandanta
Now I want to add to the central key description above, that Jupiter is in the Gandanta Zone at the end of Pisces. Jupiter is at 29 deg Pisces, so it’s conjunct this eclipse to six degrees orb. And Jupiter energy in the Gandanta is a strong one, and will be felt at the same time as this eclipse.
The Gandanta zones are zones of immateriality at the transition places from Water Sign to Fire sign. Gandanta is one of the vast number of unique Vedic Astrology concepts that you must know about if your astrology definition is to be at all accurate.
Gandanta energy is immaterial, but its goal is to open us to the vastness, to the Divine reality that leis beneath the material realm.
So at the time of this eclipse, indeed between 13th to 30th April while Jupiter transits the Gandanta zone between 28 Pisces and 2 Aries, this is such a good time to be open to the Eternal.
Let those intuitions, thoughts and visions EMPOWER and bring DEEPER SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION to your current project.

We know that this eclipse is in Aries, but it’s also really important to be aware now what HOUSE in your Vedic birth chart is the sign of Vedic Aries: what life area will be key-affected?
For example – and this is just one example only – if Aries is your 10th House, that’s the House of career and your career will take a real boost now, to say the least.
Look deeper at your career matters, your approach and handling of your career, the nature of your career. Is it right for you?
In the example given above, of this Eclipse falling in the 10th House of the birth chart = career emphasis, you should then check out your D10 divisional chart (Varga chart). This is called your Dasamsa chart.
Your Dasamsha chart gives such very good guidance as to the nature of your career energy and focus. Be aware of that. Use that.
In the case of this example, align to that way of projecting into the world in your career matters – including of course at the time of this eclipse.

The Eclipse of April 20th Pt 2 Five Dangers to the energy of this Eclipse
Notes of Caution about the Energy of this Eclipse:
First note of Caution: Aries Impatience
This eclipse is in Aries. Aries energy is very impatient. This eclipse falls in Ashwini Nakshatra the healing Nakshatra, but its energy too is very impatient. Its symbol is stallions streaking across the skies of dawn.
Beware De-stabilizing .
Boredom can make an Aries guy do anything! (joke)
What you have to do with this eclipse is let your boredom guide you to the New You in the line of your goals and ambitions. Let the determination of this Eclipse energy be expressed in a loving ethical way.
Ketu South Node is transiting through Libra at this time. Each one of us is called to examine, understand and raise the level of our relationship skills.
Second note of Caution: Eclipse conjunct Rahu Driven energy
This Eclipse is conjunct Rahu the North Node of the Moon. Sun and Moon are at 5 Aries. Rahu is at 10 Aries (also in Ashwini Nakshatra).
The Sun – Rahu combination is vast desire, driven self-assertion.
Rahu is driven ambition. It is actually the indicator for our incarnational life path and way of life for this life. But its energy is driven. That is because if it wasn’t driven we humans would never get there. But the point is we have to purify the driven facet of Rahu’s nature – if we are to succeed in arriving at the goal he indicates for us in this lifetime.

Mars energy is wounded at the time of this eclipse.
Chiron is square Mars. Chiron is at 22 Vedic Pisces.
Mars is at 18 deg 55 (i.e. 19 deg) Vedic Gemini.
Mars is transiting Ardra Nakshatra which is ruled by Rahu, and Ardra’s energy is totally ‘my way or the highway’.
Watch out for bursts of anger.
Watch out for angry communications (especially as Mercury is in Mars’ sign Aries now)
Watch out for dictated demands and ultimatums.
Fourth Note of Caution: Mercury is fraught:
Mercury is conjunct the fixed star Menkar at the time of this Eclipse. Your concepts and communication could be the victim of your unconscious material. Your communication could be the victim of impediments or worries. Your communication could even bring about disagreement or ruin.
Mercury is closely conjunct Uranus.
