Shravana Nakshatra is the 22nd Nakshatra and spans 10°00′ to 23°20′ Vedic Capricorn. This Nakshatra is ruled by The Moon and its ruling deity is Vishnu – The Preserver of the Universe. Its Symbol is The Ear, or an arrow. Its power animal or Yoni is the Female Monkey – playfulness, lack of seriousness. Its Motivation is Artha – material wealth. in terms of Gunas, Shravana is primarily Rajasic: desirous and acting on the worldly plane.

Shravana Nakshatra Key Words: The Listener, learner, knowledge quest. Informed. Persevering and shrewd. Goal orientated, and this becomes dangerous if their goals are unwholesome. They need to tone down their ego and be careful to do the right things. Can fall prey to deception and bad advice. they often have organizational ability which can be used for good or alternatively for destructive or degenerative ends. Sravanas often carry a cunning but well-mannered, alert look. They are good communicators. Good in media. They do need to be careful of propagating falsehood.
Positively, Shravana Nakshatra are intellectual, wise, good teachers, counsellors, amicable but calculating. More negatively, they are gossips and restless. Typically, they have an historical approach, heritage, tradition, travel, pilgrimage
Shravanas typically suffer troubles and disappointment – trust issues, especially in first half of life. They are sensitive and easily hurt. Thye can have feelings of inferiority that can be overcome with age.
Its heavenly basis emanates for seeking, which results in the paths, through which there is connection of all things.
Shravana Nakshatra nature is to be fierce and severe in a balanced way.
The ideal best spiritual path of Shravana is the way of listening and the gaining of knowledge. This knowledge should lead to meditation (not only to knowledge of trivial facts). The disciple may eventually become a guru himself who passes on knowledge. This, therefore, is a meditative constellation. Listening to the guru leads to becoming one with him and to meditation. Each Nakshatra has a special power or Shakti, the power of Sravana allows for connection. Shravanas are often fond of travel and living in foreign lands.
