Sun:
Sun starts September 2023 at 14 Leo.
Sun leaves Leo and enters Virgo on 17th September.
Sun ends September at 13 Virgo.
Sun in Leo is regal and commanding and glows with stamina. But negatively, Sun in Leo is bossy egoistical know-it-all.
Sun in Virgo is good analytically and hard-working and productive, but meticulous and fussy and disappointed when his high expectations are not realised.
In terms of the Nakshatras:
Sun starts September in PurvaPhalguni Nakshatra ruled by Venus.
Sun enters UttaraPhalguni Nakshatra on 14th September and enters Hasta on 27th September.
Autumn Equinox is on 23rd September at 07.49 Ireland time. It marks the end of summer and the beginning of Autumn. In the Northern hemisphere, identify what your Harvest is. Give thanks for your Harvest. Is there any work needed to complete the bringing in of your Harvest now?
The Sun is the masculine and royal nature for us to experience and embody, regardless of our physical gender: the ability to focus and concentrate and organize, order and control.
The Sun is Will, endurance and Resolve, patience and self control.

Mercury is Retrograde in the first half of September
Mercury is Retrograde from 21st August to 16th September – and remember that the Shadow periods are about 2 weeks either side of this – before and after.
We need to be aware of the influence of this retrograde in September.
Mercury thus starts September Retrograde at 23 Leo in PurvaPhalguni Nakshatra ruled by Venus, goes direct on 16th September at 13 Leo, and ends September at 28 Leo.
Note that Mercury and the Sun are conjunct at 19 deg Leo on 6th September. This is called ‘Mercury’s inferior conjunction with the Sun’.
It’s a very important time to make space to note what ideas and intentions come to you at the time of the inferior conjunction, and consciously make effort to bring them to manifestation by September 16th when Mercury will turn Direct.
Do make a note.
Do make the effort.
See if your seeds flower!
Indeed, also note that an exceptional six planets are retrograde for the two weeks following the Full Moon of 31st August: Mercury (until 16th September), Venus (until 4th September), Jupiter (from 4th September) Saturn (all month) Uranus (all month), Neptune (all month) and Pluto (all month) plus the Nodes: Rahu and Ketu (always Retrograde).
So, this is such an important time to tie up loose ends and complete unfinished business, and consolidate, and receive messages from the past.

Venus is Retrograde at 18 Cancer in Ashlesha Nakshatra (ruled by Mercury) at the start of September.
Venus went behind the Sun recently, but has now become Morning Star.
This has been a forty-day retrograde – a journey into the depths of our love relationship and love issues.
But we have to wait until 4th September for Venus to go Direct also at 18 Cancer.
Venus ends September at 29 Cancer.

Note especially that once Venus goes direct on 4th September, Venus will then enter the Cancer – Leo Gandanta for the third time: in the days around 2nd October. And Venus will move into opposition from Saturn exact on October 10th – which is chilling and constricting for Venus expression.
Above all we have to realize that Venus Retrograde and Venus Gandanta are ‘calls to love’ for each of us.
We are called to perceive our love scripts better.
We are called to heal our love scripts.
We are called to work together with our partner in a relationship if we have one, so as to share and bring in a successful healing strategy and approach for our mutual love scripts.
Venus Retrograde and Venus in Gandanta are Calls to Love.
Given that Venus turns Direct this month (September 4th), Venus’ motion is slow.
The turn to Venus forward motion can help to build clarity in relationships on top of the learning experiences we went through when Venus was Retrograde, and of course when Venus was Gandanta too.
The Venus Station centering on September 4th, is very powerful 3 days either side of the exact station, so embrace September 1-6th as a powerful time for love, and a very good time for Libra- and Taurus-emphasis people.
Venus square Jupiter:
This slow-motion of Venus means that the square that Venus forms with Jupiter is more long-lasting. Jupiter will bring blessings and enlargement to Venus, but because it’s a square aspect, the process of coming into the blessings will be more fraught.
So, it’s important to note that this newly retrograde Jupiter at 21 Aries on 4th September is square newly direct Venus at 18 Cancer – both of them are virtually stationery!
This means that the Jupiter – Venus energy is deeply ingrained in the degrees that Jupiter and Venus are transiting in and aspecting in the signs of Aries and Cancer.
This square began on and off in June and is in force until September 17th. It can be a time when re-evaluation and transformation may be prompted.

Venus square Uranus:
Venus at 28 Cancer squares Uranus at 28 Aries on 29th September (There were two previous Venus-Uranus squares on July 2nd and August 9th).
Note an energy of excitability/revolution energy in love, and also love of technical/computer type things – plus love of DIFFERENCE!
Venus sextile Mars:
The slow motion of Venus means that the Venus-Mars transiting sextile is longer-lasting too.
Venus sextile Mars will give us more drive to follow our heart, and it’s useful to know about this and maximize it.

Mars transits from 9 deg Virgo in UttaraPhalguni Nakshatra to 28 deg Virgo in Chitra Nakshatra in September.
It is absolutely crucial to be aware that Mars in Virgo is transiting in Quincunx (6/8) relationship to Saturn retrograde in Aquarius.
Saturn transits from 9 Aquarius on September 1st to 7 Aquarius on September 30th
This means that from 18th August when Mars entered Virgo there is a big risk of two dangers:
a. ACCIDENTS from 18th August to mid-September
b. Arguing and criticizing in relationships from 18th August to 3rd October, while Mars is in Virgo.
It is also crucial to realize that Mars transits toward exact conjunction with transiting Ketu at 1 deg Libra on October 5th.
This is a very dangerous conjunction for potentially very sharp accidents or medical situations, and also conflicts and explosions.
Libra, Aries and Scorpio emphasis people must especially be very careful and plan to be in non-fraught situations at least a week either side around that date.
Maybe try to work out what might be the most spiritually advantageous expression of this energy in your life, and seek to encompass that!!!
Mars transits opposition Chiron on 24th September, with Mars at 24 Virgo and Chiron at 24 Pisces. This is a good time to discover the nature of your personal Mars, and the wounds to Mars which either weaken Mars or over-blow it.

Jupiter:
Jupiter starts September at 21 Aries in Bharani Nakshatra.
Jupiter turns Retrograde on 4th September at 21 Aries – Jupiter’s retrograde ending December 30th at 11 Aries.
Jupiter ends September still retrograde at 20 Aries.
Note that this transit of Jupiter at its best, can bring luck, expansion, sense of purpose and blessing, especially if you have planets in:
a. Aries (especially centering on 20 Aries), but also
b. Sagittarius (the 5/9 aspect from Aries) especially centering on 20 Sagittarius
c. If you have planets in Libra (though less flowingly)
Jupiter will retrograde mostly through Bharani Nakshatra which spans from 13 to 26 Aries. Bharani is ruled by Venus and is a somewhat aggressive/explosive preemptory energy of death and rebirth so during this retrograde watch out for intimations about over-lordliness, overindulgence or extravagance.
On September 25th, Jupiter in Aries trines Mercury in Leo: this is good for communication and travel.
Jupiter square Venus:

Uranus and Jupiter are Square Lilith
at the time of the Full Moon of 31.8.23:
Uranus is at 28 Aries.
Jupiter is at 21 Aries
Lilith (Black Moon) is at 2 Leo.
This starts the month of September.
So this means that the expansionary Jupiter/Uranus transit is square to Lilith.
Check out what the Lilith transit is doing to you in terms of your awareness and healing and empowerment around your buried shadow material, including the needed proper integration fo your Wild Side that may have been denied/obliterated/twisted etc. Lilith is still just in the Cancer-Leo Gandanta.

Saturn – Lord of Karma, Lord of Reaping:
Saturn starts September Retrograde at 9 deg Aquarius in Shatabishak Nakshatra.
Saturn actually turned Retrograde at 13 Aquarius on 17th June.
Saturn transits Retrograde from 9 to 7 deg Aquarius in September.
Note that Saturn will turn Direct at 6 Aquarius on 4th November.
When Saturn is Retrograde, we have to obey his imperatives to:
Complete business that is left unfinished in our life.
To tie up unfinished loose ends.
To de-clutter.
To get sound.
To honour Saturn’s demands!
Keep asking yourself the question: ‘What am I carrying now?’

Then Saturn re-entered Vedic Aquarius from 17.1.23.
Saturn reached 13 deg Aquarius and then turned retrograde 17.6.23
During this retrograde, Saturn will actually retrograde back to 6 deg Aquarius, turning direct again on 4th November 2023.
Saturn then goes forward again. But Saturn will not reach his pre-retrogradation position of 13 deg Aquarius until 8th February 2024.
Saturn turns retrograde again at 25 Aquarius on 30.6.24.
This Retrograde ends 16.11.24 when Saturn turns direct again at 18 Aquarius.
Saturn leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces on 13th March 2025.
Saturn turns retrograde again on 13th July 2025 at 7 deg Pisces and retrogrades back to 0 deg 56 Pisces on 28.11.25 (so Saturn almost returns to Aquarius again, but not quite).
Saturn leaves Pisces and enters Aries on 3.6.27.
Saturn leaves Aries and enters Taurus on 18.4.30.
Saturn leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on 31.5.32.

Uranus stays at 28 Aries in Krittika Nakshatra all month and Uranus is retrograde all month!

Neptune retrogrades from 2 to 1 Pisces in September, in PurvaBhadra Nakshatra.
Positively, Retrograde Neptune in Pisces is such a time to work on visions and to be open to your sensitivity and the insights that come to you.
Let me state a warning that as Ketu moves to 1 deg Libra, Ketu will also be in quincunx (6/8) relationship with Neptune at 1 Pisces.
As I mentioned above in the case of the Mars-Saturn Quincunx and its violence at the beginning of September (and end of August), Quincunxes are dangerous.
They are 150 zodiacal degrees one way, and 210 zodiacal degrees the other.
Their energy can be strife and disasters.
Negatively Ketu/Neptune is deception.
But do please note that positively Ketu/Neptune is deeply spiritual and visionary.

Crucially, note that Pluto is square the Nodal axis: In September 2023, the Nodes of the Moon are transiting the axis: Ketu 3 to 1 deg Libra, Rahu 3 – 1 Aries.

Pluto pressured by the Destiny current of the Nodes means that we are all called now to become more fully into our proper power.

The Nodes of the Moon: Rahu and Ketu:
Rahu North Node starts September at 3 deg Aries in Ashwini Nakshatra and ends September at 1 deg Aries in Ashwini Gandanta.
Rahu is thus in the Aries to Pisces Gandanta all the month of September.
Ketu South Node starts September at 3 deg Libra in Chitra Nakshatra and ends September at 1 deg Libra in Chitra Nakshatra.

The Nodes are quivering with high- manifestation energies. This is because the Nodes are in the process of changing sign.
The Nodes are Serpent Power. They are Naga energy. They are karma and Destiny energy. Avoid learning about and manifesting your karmic imperative and destiny direction in your life at your peril – at your peril of just half a life lives and of loss.
What is your Destiny Direction?
What are the karmas you came into this life to learn about and heal?

The Nodes of the Moon are in the start of the process of changing sign.
They actually change from the Libra Aries axis to the Virgo Pisces axis.
We are feeling it already.
Transiting Rahu will be a more steady energy in Pisces, because Pisces’ ruler, Jupiter can calm Rahu’s driven energies, even though Jupiter’s purity may be compromised.
Never-the-less, Rahu is driven and obsessional, especially when he is still in Aries until October 30th. This is really such a good time to reassess the nature of your Incarnational life purpose and destiny direction in this life, and reassess how you are managing it, and for you to beware giving over to the dark obsessive driven sides of Rahu.
Ketu transiting in Virgo creates difficulties in accessing the fullness of Ketu’s spiritual potentials, because Mercury-ruled Virgy is so critical and cerebral. Even so Ketu’s powers and typical life areas will still be clearly felt, and they need to be more positively explored to compensate for Virgoan over-rationalism.
It can give us such insights as to our karmas and our destiny.
This is exact on October 30th.

Rahu transits the Aries to Pisces Gandanta Zone:
Rahu North Node has been in Vedic Aries since 12th April 2022, but on October 30th it retrogrades through the immaterial Gandanta zone and enters Pisces.
Ketu South Node has been in Vedic Libra since 12th April 2022, but on October 30th it transits into Vedic Virgo.
You absolutely do need to understand what this means if you have planets in the four signs Libra-Virgo or Aries-Pisces.
You need to hear how your Nodal transit experience will probably start with Ketu past life karmas issues, and only once you have progressed with these, can you fully open to the Rahu-inspired destiny direction in this life.
You absolutely need to understand what it means if you have natal planets in the Aries-Pisces Gandanta Zone. This is where Rahu is retrograding now, namely between 4 Aries and 26 Pisces (or indeed in the other two Gandanta zones which are Cancer/Leo and Scorpio Sagittarius).
The three Gandanta zones are zones of immateriality, unsubstantialness and unreality which characterize the approx. three degrees either side of the water sign to fire sign transition: Pisces to Aries, Cancer to Leo and Scorpio to Sagittarius.
To have natal planets there means that these planets are caught up in a karmic knot, there’s a big fate and destiny and karma dimension to how they will manifest.
Planets there in our birth chart, and planets transiting there can be very unstable and turbulent.
But this immateriality and turbulence pushes us to spiritual development, to seeking spirituality and Healing, to experimenting with different visionary shamanic and spiritual dimensions.
Rahu, the North Node of the Moon, is a ‘shadow planet’ that carried our Destiny Direction and Life Purpose Direction for this life, as well as driven energies, driven desires, illusions, and inclusion of dark ambitions. It brings fated transformations. When this Rahu energy couples with a Gandanta Zone, the immateriality of the Gandanta Zone can make us very lost and disorientated, but, on the other hand, open to huge spiritual insights and changes and modification of the nature of our Rahu ambitions. When Rahu occupies this critical point, it takes on a heightened significance, influencing major life transitions, karmic cycles, and, at its best: spiritual growth.

Lilith starts September at 2 Leo, still in the Cancer-Leo Gandanta, in Magha Nakshatra. And Lilith ends September at 5 Leo.
It’s very important to check out which of your natal planets Lilith is aspecting and learn from the lessons of that transit from Lilith and your shadow and unconscious and buried wild side that Lilith embodies.
14a. Jupiter and Uranus square Lilith:
Jupiter and Uranus start the month squaring Lilith, with Jupiter at 21 Aries and Uranus at 28 Aries.
Lilith is our shadow side, our unconscious side and what is buried in these, especially our needed ethically expressed ‘Wild Side’ that we do need to know about and properly express if we are to be the fullness of who we were born to be in this life.
Uranus transiting square Lilith brings a revolution pressure to the expression of Lilith unconscious wild side energy.
This may feel very erratic with highs and lows. You may feel unexpected urges, deep emotions may keep coming and going. Your instincts may become clearer and better expressed. There might be unexpected changes and you might be driven by a measure of rebellion. This can be a time to face your actual desires and express them and spiritually handle them.

14b. Lilith is in a Yod: A Finger of God chart aspect shape – Lilith, Ketu, Neptune:
There’s a Yod in the chart for the start of September, and it’s present all month. It’s a very special and wonderful vision work opportunity including past life issues and work with our shadow material:
Lilith sextile Ketu South Node form the base.
Neptune is the apex planet.
And this means that how we handle Neptune in our life, in our consciousness may arrive at a crunch of new awareness at this time!

Lilith starts September at 2 Leo.
Ketu South Node starts September at 3 Leo.
So this means that there’s a sextile from Ketu to Leo.
So, in addition to this sextile, there’s two quincunxes: one from Lilith, one from Ketu to the Apex planet of the Yod, which is Neptune at 2 Pisces.
A Yod is a ‘Finger of God’ aspect.
The apex planet of a Yod represents a very significant principle demanding clear and purposeful expression by us working away at the energies of the planets in the base (the sextile): Lilith and Ketu.
We work at the energy of the apex planet, Neptune, initially, more by working away at the energies of the two planets at the base.
In this way we reach out to clarify the nature of the apex planet more and more, relating to the apex planet more and more through images and visions or (hopefully not) illusions, rather than genuinely connecting to it, and we are forced to do this work through mounting tension we inescapably feel in relation to the quality of the apex planet: Neptune.
We are walking along our life’s pathway of how we relate to Neptune, but we will find that we might need to change pathway. This is because we could very likely reach a fork in the road as to how we relate to Neptune. Our current pathway may cease to exist. We might therefore have to chose the left fork or the right fork in how we relate to Neptune. When we choose one of the two possible directions in how we understand and handle Neptune, it will have a fated feel about it.
So what is Neptune about? Ideally Neptune is vision: better and better vision.
And this chart aspect shape suggests that now could be a very good time to improve our visionary connection
And we might do this through working away at our Lilith (what’s buried in our unconscious and shadow including our Wild Side) and working away at our Ketu: Our Past Life issues, including our ancestral issues. Do check out if this energy applies to you.
It might especially apply to those of us who’s charts are aspected by the Yod Finger of God, in other words those who have planets touched by one of the corners of the Yod, i.e. planets within orb of Lilith around 2 Leo, Ketu around 2 Libra and Neptune around 2 Pisces. Check it out for applicability to you!
I have found when my Neptune is activated by progression or transit, I experience things like, for example, clairaudience, clairvision, vision work and great ability to read rock energies, etc. what will it be for you?
The above Yod lasts within orb until 12th September, but note that a second overlapping Yod sets in from 4th September, with Neptune sextile Pluto where both of these aspect Lilith by quincunx, so Lilith is apex planet, and this Yod lasts within orb until 14th September.
To fully access the potential of this Yod, you may need to embrace a course or spiritual path or Healer path of a visionary or healing nature. It will be like entering the Labyrinth, the mystic spiral.
Pluto quincunx Lilith lasts for some time – within orb until 28th September.
Saturn is opposition Lilith from 12th September to the end of the month and beyond.
