1. Strong Planets in September 2021 – But does Strong always mean Good?

Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are all in the signs they rule for at least part of September 2021, and so they are very strong in their power and effects.
But what we have to examine is the question: does strong always equal good???
Here is the list and dates:
Sun is in Leo from September 1st to 18th.
Mercury is in Virgo from September 1st to 22nd September.
Venus is in Libra from 6th September onwards.
Saturn is in Capricorn retrograding from 13 to 12 degrees all month.
This will give a very strong reception of these planets’ energies to us. However, we need also to be aware (a) that even if a planet is strong, this can mean strong for its negative energies as well as (or instead of) its positive energies. And we also need to be aware that certain problem Mars and Saturn energies will also have to be dealt with at this time, focusing on Mars in Virgo and Saturn in Capricorn energies:
Mars is closing on the Sun, becoming exact conjunction in Virgo on October 7th at 20 Virgo. Humanity will therefore have to deal with growing angry frustrated Mars Combust energies all this time.
Saturn although strong, is receiving a real battering all this time:
Firstly from Uranus retrograding Square Saturn at 20 to 19 deg Aries.
Secondly because of receiving an aspect from Rahu North Node retrograding from 11 to 10 deg Taurus.
Thirdly, Pluto is also making vast surging power demands against Saturn retrograding at 0 deg Capricorn.
And fourthly, Jupiter re-enters Capricorn via Retrograde from 14.9.21 to 20.11.21, leaving Jupiter so weakened in power and manifestation of his blessing and sense of purpose in the face of Saturn the owner of the sign of Capricorn.
So, is ‘strong Saturn’ always ‘good Saturn’? of course not!
Saturn negatively is our blocks and structures, both at the personal level and at the level of our countries.
At our personal level, we do have to develop perception as to where are scripts and strategies are wrong for us, we might want to cling on to them and say there is no other way, regardless of the fact that Uranus is hurling the energies of revolution at Saturn and regardless that Pluto is demanding the proper expression of his power.
And at the level of our countries: there is war against structures:
The Taliban have taken ever Afghanistan.
Democrat energies, WOKE and Political Correctness in the US will meet the sternest blocks from the Republicans.
2. Eight Retrograde Planets in September 2021 – have you got the message?
Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron are all retrograde during September – plus Mercury right at the end of the month.
What will this mean for you? What is the Divine Purpose/Gift to you?

The Retrograde energy of September thus means that we will each be called to assess how much we are learning the energy demand of each of these retrograde planets.
Are we realizing the Divine Nature of each of these planets?
Are we managing the retrograde planets’ energies properly and in the right life areas?
Are we dotting the I’s and crossing the t’s?
Do note: in my Starwheel astrology website there is a web page giving general meanings for each House in your birth chart. Use this to work out which area of your life is affected by each of these retrograde planets.
Jupiter Retrograde: Look at the house area in your Vedic birth chart that is Aquarius and then Capricorn where transiting Jupiter is retrograding in September 2021, and what is the effect of aspects cast by Jupiter. That is where you may feel a dearth of blessing and enlargement, and know that at this time you will have to work to keep your connection with Divine blessing and sense of purpose.
Saturn Retrograde: Look at the house Saturn is retrograding in in your chart: the house that is Capricorn in your Vedic birth chart, and houses/planets that transiting Saturn is aspecting. That is the life area where Saturn is demanding that you consolidate and succeed at. That is the life area, especially, where you are being called to appreciate something fo the Divine Nature of Saturn, now.
Uranus Retrograde: Look at the house in your birth chart when Uranus is retrograding in Aries, and houses/planets that transiting Uranus is aspecting. That is the life area where you are being compelled to bring in needed revolution. Obviously, Libra people are very affected by this as Uranus is opposition Libra.
Neptune Retrograde: Look at the house life area in your chart that is transiting Neptune in Aquarius in your birth chart, and houses/planets that Neptune is aspecting. Negatively, Neptune can bring vast illusion and delusion, but positively Neptune brings the most wonderful intuition, vision and inspiration.
Pluto Retrograde: Look at the house life area in your birth chart where retrograde Pluto is transiting, namely: Capricorn. That is where your proper power expression is being demanded, even if you have to make a journey into the abyss to retrieve your proper power, even if you have to transform your life so as to come into the fuller expression of your power.
Chiron Retrograde: Chiron retrogrades from 18 Vedic Pisces to 17 Vedic Pisces in September 2021. Chiron is the embodiment of our Existential Wound in this lifetime (in the healing of which we can bring healing to others). Look at the House life area that is Pisces in your Vedic Natal chart. This is the life area where you are being called to consolidate the healing current in your life. And people with natal Chiron in Virgo, opposite, in their natal chart have had such wonderful healings from this Chiron opposition – does this apply to you?
People with Chiron in Pisces in the Vedic natal chart have had such wonderful healings of their existential wound from their Chiron Return, now.
And remember the special position of Saturn when looking at these retrograde transits. That is that Jupiter, Uranus, Rahu and Pluto are all pitting themselves against Saturn. It’s all out war of the Titans now.
And remember also when assessing the impact of these transits that this is the Pluto return of the USA, where Pluto is transit towards the position he occupies in the birth chart of the USA, and the first exact will be May 2023, and so much darkness has to arise in the USA at this time, to be dealt with positively or negatively!
3. Sun starts September in Leo and moves into Virgo:

Sun starts September at 15 deg Vedic Leo, entering Virgo on September 17th, and ending September at 13 deg Virgo.
Sun rules Leo. Sun in Leo is regal and ambitious, repels negativity, but can be vain and dominating.
Sun in Virgo, however, is quite different: Sun in Virgo is analytic and into service and healing, but can be hypersensitive.
In terms of the Nakshatras, the wonderful 27-sign Lunar Zodiac of Vedic Astrology, Sun starts the month in PurvaPhalguni Nakshatra, moving into UttaraPhalguni Nakshatra on 13th September and entering Hasta Nakshatra on 27th September.

4. Mercury transits in Virgo most of September, just enters Libra – and then turns Retrograde at the very end of the month:
Mercury starts the month at 9 deg Virgo, exalted in the sign he rules, and Mercury transits Virgo up to 22nd September, when he enters Libra – to join Venus, where Venus is exalted in the sign he rules. What does this mean?

Mercury has high dignity in Virgo, where he transits up to 27th September. See the Dignity graph:
The Mercury in Virgo energy up to 22nd September will be intelligent and analytic, systematic, quite polished and refined, discriminating – but thinks too much; might be too cerebral.
By contrast, the brief Mercury-Venus combination will be diplomatic and pleasing.
Mars and Sun who are fighting each other all this time, are left behind in Virgo irritating each other!
But the Mercury-Venus combination does not last long: Mercury actually turns retrograde on 27th September, still at only 1 deg Libra. Mercury retrogrades back into Virgo on 2nd October.
Mercury finally turns Direct again on 18th October at 15 deg Virgo, and not getting back into Libra until 2nd November. So, this is essentially a Mercury Retrograde in Virgo.
So, essentially, we are all in a Mercury in Virgo transit, and one of the emphases of Mercury’s energy in the sign of Virgo is health healing and right living. So, at the time of the irritated Sun/Mars energy in Virgo which might well re-surge the coronavirus, will there also be decisive research and management of the coronavirus too?
In terms of the Nakshatras, Mercury starts September in Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra, but entering Hasta nakshatra on 2nd September, and entering Chitra on 13th September. Mercury turns Retrograde in Chitra on 27th September, ending the month in Chitra.
5. Venus starts September at 25 deg Virgo but soon enters the warm environment of Libra:

Venus starts September at 25 deg Virgo. Venus is Fallen in Virgo which means we might have difficulty showing the love we have and that we need to show fully, for the first week of September.
But sexual urge can be quite strong up to September 6th, as Rahu in Taurus is casting a 5th House aspect to Venus in Virgo.
But the Venus in Virgo wound to love heals from September 6th:
On September 6th, Venus enters Libra, the sign he rules, and Venus ends the month at 28 deg Vedic Libra. Venus is actually exalted in Libra. And in very good dignity from 6th September: This means that the last three weeks of September should be good and easy for love and art.
In terms of the Nakshatras, Venus starts September in Chitra Nakshatra, entering Swati on 12th September, and entering Vishakha on 23rd September.
6. Mars energies are irate and frustrated in September 2021:

Mars is closing steadily to an exact conjunction with the Sun that occurs on October 7th at 20 deg Virgo. Mars and Sun are thus in violent combination, where Mars is weakened and irritated about this. Look what the Sun does to Mars in terms of Rashi Avasthas on the day of the exact combust: 7.10.21:

Then look across the row from the Sun:
The black figure is a planet’s raw strength in the chart = 300 points
We see that Sun brings 526 negative points to Mars knocking Mars manifesting strength down to a disastrous -163 minus 163!!
But note that Mars is Combusted by the Sun to varying degrees all this month. Mars represents strength to fight, anger within us, courage, willpower, principle and discipline.
This is a super-important realisation to hold in our minds all September.
When Mars is combust it shows too much frustration, irritation and aggression. Combust Mars feels frustrated as it does not feel powerful, tough or courageous enough. This is a very fiery combination! Agitated, impulsive, competitive and excessive or downright dangerous behaviours.
This applies on the level of individuals – and also at the level of countries.
The rule is that Mars becomes combust when it comes within 17 degrees on either side of the Sun. But, here, we are talking about an orb of 12 degrees on 1st September, narrowing to exact, i.e. 0 degrees by October 7th. Mars is at 0 dignity rating while he is transiting in Leo. But Mars is at -2 dignity while he transits in Virgo.
Here’s the actual detail for Mars in September 2021:
On September 1st, Mars starts the month at 27 deg Vedic Leo. Sun, meanwhile, starts September at 15 deg Vedic Leo. So, the gap between them at the start of the month is 12 deg. It’s in the sign of Leo, so it’s all about power and pride. But Mars is not that strong: Mars is at 0 dignity rating while in Leo. But of course, he’s feeling pretty irritated about that!
The next development is that Mars enters Virgo by the end of the first week of September, on 6th September.
Sun follows him. Sun enters Virgo on 17th September, with Mars being at 7 deg Virgo on that day. So, note that the gap between them has now narrowed to 10 deg. In the sign of Virgo, it’s all about communication and ideas. This is the area where Mars will especially be expressing himself. But Mars is at -2 dignity while in Virgo.
Virgo is the sign of health healing and right living. Will this irritated energy in Virgo prompt a Coronavirus resurgence for a short time?
Sun ends September at 13 deg Virgo. Mars is at 16 Virgo on that day. So, note that the gap between them has now narrowed to 3 deg!
A week later, on October 7th, they are both exactly conjunct at 20 deg Virgo!
All through September, therefor, this is certainly a time to watch your irritations and aggressions and frustrations.
But from 6th September, Mars in Virgo energy might come more easily to you in the area of communication and ideas.
September is certainly a month to watch anger, and to choose the issues you must make a stand on carefully. Be careful not to be aggressive in communication.
In terms of the Nakshatras, Mars starts the month in UttaraPhalguni Nakshatra (ruled by Sun), and Mars enters Hasta on 21st September
7. Jupiter starts September, Retrograde at 1 deg Aquarius

Jupiter retrogrades into Capricorn on 14th September, to end the month of September at 28 deg Capricorn.
The background is that Jupiter first entered Vedic Capricorn on 30th March 2020. But Jupiter actually dropped back into Vedic Sagittarius from 29th June 2020 to 20th November 2020. Then he re-entered Capricorn.
The next step in the story of this Jupiter transit, was that Jupiter left Capricorn to enter Aquarius on 6th April 2021. But Jupiter then re-enters Capricorn on 14.9.21, due to his Retrograde.

Jupiter re-enters Aquarius on 20.11.21
And, looking ahead, Jupiter enters Pisces 13.4.2022.
Some very important Jupiter in Capricorn realisations: When Jupiter’s last transit occurred, this was the energy for the 2008 recession: the bursting fo the Celtic Tiger bubble. I am aware of worrying signs now of boom/bust in UK and Ireland, for example building materials prices are going through the roof. There are idiotic newspaper headlines saying ‘House prices Perfect Storm: get your mortgage now’. My point is that I heard all this in 2008. I heard all this at through the early 1980s leading up to the stock markets crash in 1987 – and that was triggered by the Jupiter transit through Capricorn in 1985. There will have to be financial tightening and downturn, following this Jupiter transit into Vedic Capricorn now, indeed in various countries, in the months ahead from this month: September 2021. Incidentally, Jupiter was at 5 Capricorn on January 3, 2009, the day Bitcoin was created.
