Now let’s look into the fuller detail at the disorientating and very powerful weird astrology for October 2020, and at the same time identify and grasp hold of our needed strategy for life-fulfilment, for becoming who we are:
CHARTS: Do note as a very special resource, that I show the charts and ephemeris for each month in both Vedic and also western astrology on my Starwheel website. You can see the full Vedic and also Western Ephemeris of the planets positions, the charts of the October Full and New Moons, plus the 2020 eclipse dates and more – all on my October Astrology page in my Starwheel Astrology website:

Saturn:
The big theme is the stationing and turning Direct of Saturn, on September 29th at 1 deg Vedic Capricorn.
Saturn has been retrograding since 11th May 2020, when he turned Retrograde at 7 deg Capricorn, and like all planets he carves his demands and his energies ever more ultra-deeply, the slower his motion, as he comes to Station.
My experience of Saturn stationing like this – and all through his retrograde, is that he demands that we tie up our loose ends and shed parts of our life that must no longer be part of us. If we are open to even seeing the reality Saturn offers as his Divine gift, we will then experience Golden Reaping. Remember, Saturn was an agricultural deity.
Saturn now starts to move very slowly forward, permitting us to gradually take on the strategies that have survived the demands of his pressurising and often sadness-creating retrograde.
To try to guess what Saturn will be after from you personally at this time, you especially look at the House that Saturn is retrograding and stationing in in your Vedic chart. So, in my case, the 7th House: marriage and commitment – strong and good.
And of course, you also have to look at the Sign this Saturn occupies: this is Capricorn, and Capricorn is the sign that Saturn rules, so he is ultra-strong!
And of course, you refer to the life areas that Saturn is a ‘Karaka’ or ‘indicator’ for: Saturn is in very general terms, karaka for such issues as – Longevity, profession, karma, death, life, adversity, conduct, service, disease, poverty, trouble, losses, theft, servants, old age, dishonour, imprisonment, grief, oils, agriculture, etc. And Saturn in Capricorn is about the life and death issues of generations and karma, too, so death or deep issues that may span the generations may now be in your life. Saturn is order, patience, diligence and structure. And do be aware that the negative features of Capricorn are fear, cynicism and inhibition.
It may seem like your life is breaking, or that things are breaking off your life, but, actually, it is YOU that are now breaking, you are transcending and evolving. It’s your chance to put the right pieces in place. Let us each try to see how we have a chance of becoming who we were born to be at these weird times. Become. See where what you are breaking are your prison walls!!! What you are breaking is your darkness. Let your Dawn come in and shine! Find your bliss
Saturn continues Direct until 23rd May 2021, when he turns retrograde at 19 deg Vedic Capricorn.
Jupiter – Saturn:
And there’s a very important huge yet subtle long term twist to the tale: A very big energy is the Jupiter – Saturn conjunction. This is at 6 deg Capricorn on 21.12.2020. This is the start of a new Jupiter-Saturn cycle in your life: Balancing the two energies of growth and perseverance. The new 60-year Samvatsara cycle. This sets a scene: for your life, for human society.
Jupiter and Saturn were last conjunct in Capricorn on 20th February 1961, at 2 deg Capricorn. I looked back at what happened to me in that year. The insight was useful: it was about hanging on to and expressing my brilliance having just started secondary school.
Jupiter:
Jupiter went Direct in September, being strong in his own sign, too. This was on September 13th at 23 Sagittarius.
I felt this bring great purpose and blessing and some lucky breakthroughs.
But note that Jupiter’s heyday is limited:
on 20th November, Jupiter enters Vedic Capricorn. Capricorn is the sign of his debilitation.
Jupiter was the dominant planet last year, 2019, but, with Saturn entering Vedic Capricorn on 24th January and achieving his great standing, and now from this November with Jupiter entering Capricorn on November 20th and losing his great standing, Jupiter has lost the race. The Age of Saturn is now upon us – for many months.
Jupiter enters Vedic Aquarius on 6th April 2021.
Aquarius does not give Jupiter strong dignity, but is a more humanitarian energy than Jupiter in Capricorn.
A positive feature for Jupiter’s energy nevertheless, is that Jupiter does not again turn Retrograde until 20th June 2021.
Jupiter-Pluto:
And here’s another twist to the tale: What about the Time Bomb? Jupiter is getting into closer and closer conjunction with ultimate power Pluto and Jupiter and Pluto are conjunct on 12th November at 28 deg Sagittarius.
In more detail, this combination was defined by Reinhold Ebertin as:
PRINCIPLE: Desire for power. Plutocracy
+ striving for power in the spiritual, material or mental spheres. The desire to lead the masses. An appreciation of the need for social or religious regeneration. A brilliant gift for organization. Spiritual or intellectual leadership.
– the pursuit of fanatical aims. The desire to exploit the masses. Wastefulness.
The US has Pluto returning to its natal position at its birth in the chart for July 4th, 1776 charts = Pluto Return for the USA!! This is very significant. Darkness surfaces. But there is the theoretical chance for proper empowerment to arise.
Note from the chart for the 1st October Full Moon, that Mars is square the Jupiter Pluto Saturn conjunction at the start of October!!!:
Mars at 1 Vedic Aries
Saturn at 1 Vedic Capricorn
Pluto at 28 Sagittarius
Jupiter at 23 Sagittarius
Mars is Retrograde from the start of October, so Mars retrogrades across the Aries to Pisces Gandanta, forming exact squares to Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter. And certainly the Mars square Saturn and the Mars square Pluto aspects are malefic.
Mars turns direct on 14th November at 21 deg Pisces, when the positions of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are as follows:
Jupiter is at 29 deg Vedic Sagittarius
Saturn is at 3 deg Capricorn
Pluto is at 28 Sagittarius.
Jupiter enters Capricorn on 20th November.
Pluto enters Capricorn on 30th December.
Given the nature of the sign Capricorn, together they do make for a very Plutocratic energy, but with the flip side being an energy that smashes established structures that maybe their time has now come. Of course, both sides of this dichotomy will manifest. And the USA is going to be the main arena in the world for the enactment of these two opposing facets of Jupiter-Pluto in Capricorn.
