There’s a Lunar Eclipse on 16th July, 2019. Here’s my video, then full charts and details follow below:
Here’s the Vedic Astrology chart (Sidereal Zodiac):
And here’s the Western Astrology Chart (Tropical Zodiac):
So, the first point to make is that Eclipses undam dammed up energy.
If we are generally on-course in our life, then the undamming will be favourable and easily helpful and empowering.
If we are off-course in our life, then the undamming will be apparently destructive and painful and disorientating, but it will have the spiritual potential for us to lose a way of life that is no longer any good for us. It will have the effect of destroying a false course forward so that we can leave our prison walls behind and have the chance to forge a new life more in accord with our incarnational destiny this time.
The second point to be made is to answer the question: how will an Eclipse affect me?
Well, if an eclipse falls on one the planets in your birth chart it will affect you in a major way, or if it falls on your ascendant.
And also, it’s important to note which House in your birth chart an Eclipse falls in, because each House represents an area of our life, and the House which an eclipse falls in will lead to an effect in that area of our life.
See the how to interpret an Eclipse guide I videoed and blogged earlier this year.
Lunar Eclipses have the bigger more immediate effect compared to Solar Eclipses, and also, they leave an area of stagnant energy in the heavens that can be reactivated later on when a planet passes through the eclipse point later on.
And eclipses also cause earthquakes and horrible weather effects for the earth. Indeed, an earthquake is just like the effect in our own life and consciousness: basically, an earthquake occurs when pressure builds up between two plates in the Earth’s crust. The pressure mounts more and more, and when the Eclipse comes along, then the pressure goes critical and snaps. It’s the same in our life.
Of course, when an Earthquake is under the sea it causes a tidal wave or Tsunami: and the effect in our life can be the same, if there’s a lot of wrong pressures stoked up in our life.
This is of course the second eclipse of July 2019. Click here for details of the Solar Eclipse on July 2nd.
So, let’s look at the detail of this eclipse:
Moon conjunct Pluto:
So the first big thing to note is that the Moon is very close to Pluto, and in fact, it is part of the great Saturn-Ketu-Pluto conjunction.
Moon conjunct Pluto makes us contact deep buried emotions, hurts, wounds, guilts and secrets, and basically calls us to go into those so that we can then rise to the Light unburdened healed and more free. I offer guided vision journeys to descend to the Abyss to meet Pluto as Keeper of the Abyss, so that we can work with and even hand to his keeping, all these hurts and secrets and wounds, and then we can arise to meet Pluto, not as The Abyss, but as Kether. Freed from burdens we can enter our Crown Chakra and connect more directly to the Divine Light.
Email me if you want to receive such an online Journey. It cross-refers to your natal and predictive western and Vedic Astrology and people have said what a powerful transformative freeing and healing important vision journey it is. On receipt of your email, I send you a PayPal request for 60 Euros, and we meet on the internet using Zoom. You get the Recording for further clearing work.
But, how does the Saturn-Ketu conjunction fit into this eclipse?
The Saturn-Ketu conjunction which runs all this year is such a TENSE ENERGY.
Well, essentially Saturn, negatively experienced, is our blocks and unhelpful negative patterns. Ketu (the South Node of the Moon) tears at them destructively but for spiritual purpose. If we resist this Ketu-action, this energy becomes angry and can create ‘downfall’ (of what should no longer be part of us’, with this occurring violently or destructively because we didn’t open to the spiritual perception and because we didn’t do the needed work to clear the deck, to re-prioritise, to sort out our life, our consciousness, our spiritual perception and practice. We can fail to take the needed steps out of pride, or out of self-deception, or out of lack of confidence, or out of persistent stuck patterns.
Because we didn’t create beauty and love in our world
So, what sign and house does the Eclipsed Moon occupy?
Using Vedic Astrology, this Eclipsed Full Moon is in Vedic Sagittarius, a sign about religious areas of life, our optimism and purpose, our hopes and dreams and expansion plans. If we do not use careful perception, this Eclipsed moon falling in Vedic Sagittarius will put us out of touch with our hopes and dreams and create unreality, even a sort of feeling of madness. But the divine purpose is for us to use this eclipse experience to reconnect more fully to the Divine energy.
I love vision work with Deity. It is helpful to put an image of the god or goddess you feel drawn to on the wall or on your altar or whatever. Light a candle before it. Talk from the heart to that god or goddess as the days pass, sharing and expressing your feelings, when you got it right, when you didn’t grow in your connection to that God or Goddess’s Being/energy/gifts.
As I said, the House that the eclipse falls in, in your Vedic birth chart, is crucial. So, in my case, it’s in my 6th House, and I am hoping for certain breakthroughs in Health, because due to overwork from 2018 I’ve run into a couple of health problems. I’ve just found the cure for one. So, I hope the eclipse will lead to the cure of the second.

But what about the Sun of this Eclipse?
Sun conjunct Rahu North Node: this Sun is conjunct Rahu (the North Node). That’s a driven proud energy which can impel us forward, but not necessarily in the right spiritual way for our life path and our consciousness.
North Node is in Vedic Gemini, so we may distort the facts. We need to be very careful to get communication style right. Don’t over-communicate. Don’t obscure/ don’t ask loads of questions and yet not seek answers. Don’t let over-communication and over-thinking destroy the clarity of needed action.
Sun opposition Pluto: And even stronger than that, the Eclipse Sun is opposition Pluto. The divine intention of this energy s for us to become our rightful ethical powerful self, stand up for ourself, direct the right path forward. Proper assertion.
But more negatively we will feel things like explosive temper. Aggressive pent-up rage from our unconscious. Escalating drama – which all amount to lies and evasions of truth, and bad ways of dealing with the feelings/situation. Insult and outrage. Bringing others into our dramas and whipping others up, including getting others to bad mouth or attack people we may want to target.
Mercury and Mars: Mercury being retrograde at this time, and in the same sign as Mars wracked by steamy Vedic Cancer won’t make our tempers easy. Explosive bullish assertion. WATCH YOUR MIND!!!
The eclipse Sun and Rahu are in Punarvasu Nakshatra, in terms of the wonderful 27-sign Lunar Zodiac of Vedic Astrology. So especially note what I said above about: ‘We need to be very careful to get communication style right. Don’t over-communicate. Don’t obscure/ don’t ask loads of questions and yet not seek answers. Don’t let over-communication and over-thinking destroy the clarity of needed action.’
The eclipse Moon is in Uttarashadha Nakshatra, so if you have a planet there, know that you will be strongly affected: so, please note what I wrote above: if you are on course for your life path, this eclipse will be very positive undamming. But if you are off course now, expect destructive earthquake.
Saturn and Ketu are in PurvaAshadha Nakshatra, so this eclipse will massive affect you if you have planet in PurvaAshadha. Again: it’s all meant to put you on course. Try to see what your correct course is. Learn from your mistakes. Embrace the new needed and correct path.
