LOK (Lords of Karma) Pt. 3 Astrology Techniques
This is Pt. 3 of my Introduction video/blog to my Lords of Karma series where we hear about the astrology techniques used in western and Vedic Astrology, to understand your planets as Lords of Karma.

In this Video/Blog series starting December 2017, we meet and seek to heal each of the 13 planets of western and Vedic Astrology, as Lords of Karma (LOK)
Intro Pt. 1 looked at the concept of Karma and Planets. As I said, in Pt. 1, my partner Maggie Pashley and I offer a wide range of invaluable worldwide Healing and Empowerment Methods, with which you may wish to enrol to work with, heal and empower in relation to karmic issues, and these were covered in Intro Pt. 2.
Your Natal Planets as Lords of Karma:
Now, in this 3rd and final part of the Intro to the Lords of Karma series, we look at some of the astrology techniques: What we have heard so far, is that each planet in your birth chart is actually a clear precise and detailed statement of your Karma, of your particular destiny, and of your individual incarnational life purpose. When understood as Lords of Karma, the insight you get from your natal planets is powerful, eye-opening and deep: it’s your opportunity to heal, grow and become more whole.
Your Predictive Planets as Lords of Karma:
And the fact is, also, that each planet acting on your life predictively, in addition acts as a Lord of Karma. Each planet in your predictive astrology, is actually sending a new energy into your life that can be harmonious and supportive, or else really challenging to understand, really hard to cope with and confusingly handle to handle for the best!
Key Questions on Meeting your planets as the Lords of your Karma:
And so, as we examine in my Astrology Readings or we study in one of my Astrology Courses, the karmic impact of each planet in your life, and in your predictive unfolding.
Each deals with the key questions. These are for example:
- Am I being passive?
- Am I being open to healing?
- Am I ready to burn my negative karmas?
- Am I ready to end the recurring chain of difficult suffering challenging scripts, that my soul chose to be dealt with for this lifetime?
- Am I ready and willing to become that very special spark that I incarnated to become this time?
- Can I contact my daemon: my indwelling genius, my own very special spark of individuality?
The whole concept of identifying the manifestation of the Lords of Karma in your life, is woven into the Astrology Readings or the Astrology Courses I offer. And the whole package, including the add on healing modules I have detailed, and also Maggie’s worldwide distance healings, all inform you as to the nature of your karmas and how to understand and heal them.
Some people just want an Astrology Reading.

So, what planets will we be meeting in their role as Lords of your Karma?
This Lords of Karma Series, will teach the karmic impact of the thirteen planets of Vedic and Western Astrology. These are:
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.
Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron.
Rahu North Node, Ketu South Node.
How do we Assess each of your Planets as Lords of Karma?
Through study of the karmic nature of your planets, we build up a map of the unfoldment of your past lives, this life and your future lives. We do this in the following ways:
Your Birth Chart as a map of your destiny, your karmas and your psychology. We can use psychosynthesis and both psychological and soul predictive unfoldment.
Your Planets: We learn the nature of each Planet: we learn the divine nature of each planet, its archetypal nature. And then we experience each planet through the filters of Sign, House and Aspect in our individual chart. This can be very different from the Divine Nature of that planet.
Signs: Next, we assess the way in which the sign the planet occupies, alters the experience we will have of that planet in our individual life. We use the Sidereal Zodiac to understand the Vedic Astrology manifestation of each planet. Vedic Astrology is geared to accurate declaration of destiny and life purpose. And we use the Tropical Zodiac of Western Astrology to understand how that planet defines our psychological self, our egoic self, and our sub-personalities.
Houses: Next, we understand the way in which the House a planet occupies, alters how we will individually experience it. Each planet, sign and House is an expression of the detail of our Karma, but the 8th House in our Vedic Birth Chart is a very special expression of our fixed and unfixed karmas. It’s the repository of all things unknow and hidden, deeds that need rectification, inheritance and sudden losses. It’s the potential for us to develop intuitively.
Aspects: we next study how aspects between the planets modify the karmic impact of a planet in our life. Within Vedic Astrology we include different Avasthas systems which show the standing of each planet in our chart, and how the planets treat each other.
We take a very especial note of the karmic effects of aspects to Rahu and Ketu, the all-important North Node and South Node of the Moon.
Retrograde planets: We study the very important karmic effects of Retrograde Planets in your Birth Chart. If you have a planet retrograde in your birth chart this has huge karmic effect. You will have difficulties with all the life-principles that your retrograde planet represents and indicates. You will have to take extra car with the principles represented by that planet. You will have to do hard karmic work to get right the nature and function of that planet. You will have got it wrong in past life. Or you will realise in your between-life taking stock that you ar ready to learn more about the life-functions of that planet. And so will have to work extra hard to grow your handling of that planet in this life. Astrological perception around the nature of your manifestation of a retrograde planet in your life is crucial.
The Nodal Axis: The Nodes of the Moon are the chief guide to our main or principal incarnational life purpose, but for this the sidereal zodiac of Vedic astrology should be used. The Tropical zodiac of western astrology depicts the psychological implications of past lives expressed by the position of the nodes, not the full destiny implications, of which your egoic psychology is just a part.
Ketu: In Vedic Astrology, the position of Ketu South Node depicts Past Life that we came from. In Vedic Astrology it is called the ‘camp of the occupying army’.
Rahu: The position of Rahu the North Node in your Vedic Birth Chart (always opposite the South Node) depicts the destination you are thrown towards this life: your destined life path.
The Nodes of the Moon:
However the Nodes in their nature are demons. And the North Node is always surrounded by driven obsession, the smoke of illusion and risks of ‘dark’ connections. So you have to purify your North Node if you are ever to arrive at your destination in this life time. The Nodes in the Vedic Chart are analysed by the House and Sign they occupy, and the planets that aspect them.
Planets square the nodal axis are of particular importance in that the depict ‘missed steps’: areas of life we didn’t get right last time and so have to make special efforts to understand and get right this time.
Atmakaraka: Vedic Astrology has a wonderful system of CharaKarakas, where planet become indicators of special area of our life. And the planet of greatest longitude is called our atmakaraka. In some ways our most important planet, because that planet takes on such special importance for us to get right this time, because we didn’t manage to get it right last time.
Predictive Astrology: We learn about the unfoldment of your Karma through Progressions and Transits, and also through the wonderful ‘predictive periods’ of Vedic Astrology.
Some people love to study the detail of the system though one of my astrology courses. Others prefer to hear the details of their chart expressed in one of my astrology readings. Still others wish for a distance healing.

What are the ‘Laws of Karma’?
It is of interest to note the five Laws of Karma that are often said to be powerfully at work in our life. You don’t have to believe in reincarnation to have an Astrology Reading of study and Astrology Course, of course:
A. The Law of Correspondences: this states how our birth chart is a map of the heavens which accurately depicts a statement of our individual destiny within the great unfoldment, and which is, indeed, also part of God’s great unfoldment. As above, so below.
B. The Law of Reincarnation: this states how we reincarnate many times to learn our chosen lessons, to burn our negative karmas, to experience, deal with and transform the consequences, and to manifest our own very special sparks of achievement/identity. This law states how from birth to death we take on a coat of flesh which enables us to make our wondrous growth, and how after this life, we return to inner planes to connect with Love, to review, refresh, take stock, correct, prepare for and choose our next life time.
C. The Law of Karma: This is the Law of Cause and Effect. We have to deal with the consequences of our actions. We have to face things. We have to heal. Forgive. Grow. And – always it must be based in LOVE.
And it’s got to be genuine and authentic.
D. The Law of Opportunity: this law states how we need to see the opportunity of our planets and the events and relationships in our life.
E. The Law of Balance: this law states how we need to experience and understand the Divine nature of polarities and apparent opposites, in order to grow in perception and our ability to co-create and help and heal others as well as ourselves.
