If you feel as though you can’t keep up with the speed of the changes happening in our world, you are not alone! Every week some new disaster seems to land in our laps. Every upset creates further stress on your mind, your body, and your spirit. When you were young you thought you could predict what the world would be like when you were grown.
Now we are constantly buffeted by the winds of change. you may be reeling from one calamity only to have something occur thrown your way. And the new upsets arrive before you have recovered from the last one. It makes getting through the day a lot harder.
The whole world feels this as if we are in a giant pressure cooker. And in fact, the pressure we feel actually is real.
You may feel like you’re stuck in a horrid holding pattern, but it is a result of a shift from one level of consciousness to the next. When the new world is fully here, (meaning the new consciousness has fully incarnated on this planet) you will be able to take a breath and relax. But those times have not yet arrived. Right now, we need to learn to let go of our egos so our wisdom can take the driver’s seat. But how do we do this?
One way is to examine your own thoughts and beliefs. Then decide whether they are serving you are holding you back. It isn’t difficult, but it does require persistence.
Letting go of old beliefs and old expectations is analogous to shedding an outgrown skin. First you feel uncomfortable, then you realize that something has to change but you’re not what. Then you practice noticing your thoughts. If a thought seems useful and true, great, keep it. If a thought makes your energy go down, take it out and give it a hard look. Anytime you feel your energy moving downward, that is signal something is amiss.
The more you notice this, the more freedom you can bring into your life.
You suddenly sense more possibilities in your future.
That’s why it’s so important to practice living in the present moment.
