In this post we look at what it will mean for you when Ketu the South Node of the Moon transits your planets in Libra. And note that obviously every person will be affected by what Ketu is doing to Libra and to planets.
These two topics are actually Part 4 of my current series on What does it mean when the Nodes of the Moon change Sign from April 2022? The other parts are listed below, at the bottom of this blog post.
On April 12th, the Nodes of the Moon changed sign: Rahu North Node into Aries and Ketu South Nodes into Libra, and the Nodes will transit this Aries-Libra sign axis for the coming 18 months.
The Nodes of the Moon are the Eclipse axis, and they carry a fated energy of earthquake-like change. If we are off-course for our life purpose, things can crash. It’s just like an earthquake occurring when there’s too much build-up of tension in the strata of the Earth’s crust. Indeed, earthquakes and tsunamis often occur at Eclipse time.
The energy focus of Creation changes to emphasis the qualities of the new sign axis, and the energy-focus of our lives changes to force our spiritual awareness of the values and qualities of the new sign axis: in the case of now, Aries and Libra.
Our Past Life issues in relation to those sign values will tend to surface now.
Aries is about ‘Me First’ and Self-Assertion, independence, initiative and compulsiveness, anger and inventiveness and war.
Libra is about balance, harmony and codependency, dependency, people-pleasing and self-effacement.
So, if you have Rahu in Aries in your birth chart, were you too much of a people pleaser in past life and need to balance up. And if you have Rahu in Libra in your birth chart, were you too imperious and me first in your past life so you were now born to learn to be fairer to others and value balance.

Ketu transiting your Sun in Libra for the coming 18 months will tend to make you weak and unsure and could raise fathering issues to be dealt with. Your father may be suffering. Ketu can darken and dissolve the Sun. you could become so weak or feel you are so weak. You could become an anarchist and hate your boss. At a higher level you could grow in awareness of the Divine Sun. each planet is a Face of the Ultimate Divine. The ultimate purpose of the strong Sun is to shine your blessings on all. It is to be the competent Charioteer of the chariot that is your Self. The Charioteer must be able to manage the horses that pull the chariot (the other planets). The competent Charioteer must be able to choose the correct path forward.
Ketu’s insights can leave you very confused for a time, but the divine purpose of that is actually to make you come to a more appropriate level of perception and choice of life-path, and to learn to combat and dissolve that confusion. The insight you might develop at this painful time is potentially VAST.
Ketu transiting your Moon in Libra for the coming 18 months can bring all sorts of fears, phobias, agitations and hissy fits and hyper-sensitivities. Buried wounds will open up now to be dealt with. It’s haunted …or psychic. Your Mother may be suffering. The Ketu Moon combination is in the charts of some terrible mad politicians and warmongers. But it’s also in the charts of some Saints. If you can find ways of managing your Mind you will become much more intuitive. It could be very good at this time to do chakra activation. Ultimately its an energy that can make vast your spiritual and emotional and psychic awareness.
Ketu transiting your Mercury in Libra for the coming 18 months will bring an unusual way of thinking, scattering of mental energies all over the place. It’s about learning how to focus and prioritize and allowing your most creative mental insights to be the touchstone for prioritization now. Ketu is intuitive; Mercury is intellectual. You could make some very wrong judgements. You could implement some very wrong intuitions. The highest gift of this transit could be to open to your intuition and be able to apply your intellect to it so as to produce wonderful writing or expression that you just could not reach up to before!
Ketu transiting your Venus in Libra for the coming 18 months could make you very critical of your relationship, so it is important to see that the highest use of this energy is probably for you to really work closely and lovingly with your partner to jointly raise the relationship to a more spiritual level. Past life love relationship issues will surface. Devotion and companionship are goals. Ketu dissolves and love relationship that is not strong. Art can become a spiritual triumph if you are artistically inclined. You could become much less materialistic if you are that way inclined and go for the simpler life.
Ketu transiting your Mars in Libra for the coming 18 months is damaging, fiery, reckless and impulsive, violent and prone to accidents. You could become more intolerant and aggressive. Negatively it can occasionally tend to psychosis, but positively it can bring piercing insight. Spiritual progress can be sudden. Beware taking risks. Avoid arguments. Past trauma and woundedness can surface now to be understood and healed. Be careful of inflammation and vaccine side-effects. Positively it’s about understanding your self better and building up your creative strength.
Ketu transiting your Jupiter in Libra for the coming 18 months brings a battlefield as to whether Jupiter is made more spiritual and will develop more knowledge and wisdom, refinement and philosophical, or whether Jupiter becomes twisted producing dogmatic pseudo religion. Ketu must not be allowed to block out compassion. Tis can be a time when you will reject the religious programming your were subjected to as a child and will find your own personal more transcendent spirituality. Jupiter is karaka (indicator) for husband in a woman’s chart, so this transit can mean that the husband will be experiencing difficulties, and great care needs to eb taken to make the relationship closer if possible, and more a place of caring and spiritual awareness.
Ketu transiting your Saturn in Libra for the coming 18 months can be a time of material meltdown or the destruction of difficult karmas with the need to find new beliefs and pathways now. But the energy can be very melancholy or mendicant. Beware Fundamentalism. Beware stubbornness. Ketu with Saturn is separative and detaching. Disillusionment can destroy your spiritual and relationship potential. There can be great pressures. There can be unexpected events.
Ketu transiting your Uranus in Libra for the coming 18 months is a great opportunity for reviewing one’s life and bringing in revolution and change. It is a surprising, unexpected sort of revolution. Renewal and overcoming blocks. An interest in electronics and gadgets can suddenly surface. But the energy can be destabilization and it can be very difficult to plan a chart a course forward. There could be unpleasant surprises and nervousness-based illness symptoms. You might be tempted to take on board maverick freak pathways. But, ideally, Intelligence, innovation, originality and vision will increase. Transformation can be wired and sudden.
Ketu transiting your Neptune in Libra for the coming 18 months can manifest as increased intuition, vision and mysticism and clairvoyance. The highest manifestation of this is in the area of spirituality and healing. Talents of this type from past lives can manifest or increase. But the preservation of needed boundaries is something to watch out for. Fantasy and drugs and denial and falsity are the downside risks. It is risky for drugs and vaccines. At its highest it includes shamanic journeying/healing and dream work. If your Neptune is near the IC (the bottom of the chart) this can activate sensitivity to land energies and geomancy. It can manifest as clairvoyance or clairaudience and mystical music or art. Beware reveling in being the victim or in escapism, disintegration through unacknowledged unconscious shadow material.
Ketu transiting your Pluto in Libra for the coming 18 months indicates deep issue around power or powerlessness arising, often from past life: can be terrible damaging previous experience that will arise now to be healed. Negatively this energy is dark and destructive and violent. Catastrophe or Loss. The call is to come more and more into our right empowerment, as in the Journey to the Abyss of Persephone or Ishtar/Inanna. Discover your hidden forgotten power. Regenerate. Restore. Regain. Find the solution that could not be found before. Understand and heal your past. Become the Hero you were born to be. Do this by vision work, for example.
Ketu transiting your Chiron in Libra for the coming 18 months will activate your Libran Chiron wound and will activate our wounds in the area of relationship We may repeat, in adult relationships, our relationship with the parent of the opposite sex, or their dysfunctional way of relating Ketu may activate hidden assumptions about relationships that were built into our consciousness, e.g. that relationships are dangerous or have to be entered into in a shadow Libran way with a mask of politeness to conceal hostility or with non-relating or with self-defense rather than trust, brittle defensiveness, pleasing everyone, destructive diplomacy and tact – all leading to sorrow, isolation, defensiveness, etc. this could be a difficult time where it is essential to find healing. Remember the highest manifestation of Chiron energy is that as we heal, we become the Healer of others.
Ketu transiting your Rahu in Libra for the coming 18 months is the Nodal Half Return. Cultivate deep awareness. Basically, the energy of your past life path is transiting over your incarnational future life path, over your destiny path. You are pulled in two opposite direction. This is a time which it is essential to take steadily. It is essential to do introspective work. Dream work can be very valuable. It is amazing what vastness of realization is contained in our dreams which are not at all as superficial as we might think. We need to go into our dream fragments to discover the vastness of meaning for us that they contain hidden. Ketu transiting your Ketu in Libra for the coming 18 months is a time of life-cycle ending. It is a time for Rebirth. This is the Nodal Return that happens every eighteen and a half years. You have got to be open to examining your life path and strategies and discarding those which no longer serve you. You have got to be open to elevating your life scripts to a more spiritual awareness and commitment. You must repay karmic debts. It is possible that deep analysis of the meaning of Venus in your birth chart can give you keys as to the way your need to heal. This is because Venus is the dispositor of Ketu in Libra. And it may be useful to examine the position and energies of Venus at the time of this Nodal Return. Absolutely also study the Lord of the Nakshatra that Ketu is placed in in your birth chart. For Ketu in Libra, this will be Vishakha (ruled by Jupiter), Swati (ruled by Rahu) or Chitra (ruled by Mars). I find that the highest expression of the Nodes transiting the 6th – 12th House axis is for developing as the Intuitive Healer. The 6th House at its most positive is Healing. The 12th House includes the use of Intuition.
This nodal axis is also often found in Intuitive Healers: they are ambitious to conquer the intuitive realms so as to make sense of and heal in the ordered physical realm.
Rahu transiting the 6th is very energetic, but can fuel your enemies. Beware problems with employees. Be very careful of any driven impulse to engage in law-suits or legal cases. Become the crafty warrior.
Ketu transiting your 12th House at its best brings openings for enlightenment. Retreats. Dream work can be so helpful in enabling you to understand your self and put yourself on a more appropriate path. People can think that dreams are of no consequence, but there is great benefit in doing dreamwork: making a resolution to note down your dreams first thing when you wake up, and then having a later session to delve into your dream for its fullest even vast meaning that would not otherwise be apparent, using a method of dream exploration, elucidation and full expression. Stay out of debt. Monitor very carefully if you are becoming chronically tired or burned out.
