The Pluto – Uranus Square; Two eclipses and the grand Cross

The long-running Pluto-Uranus square that runs from July 2012 to March 2015 is in the heavens again over the period April 12th – 29th .
What does this mean for you now in your life? What is the divine meaning you need to find? What is the divine learning? Remember: Challenges are here for us to learn and grow and solve our life-issues. That’s why we are here. Solving them helps us to connect to the energies of the Divine. And during this April period there are two eclipses: the April 15th Lunar Eclipse at 07.43hrs and the April 29th solar eclipse at 06.15hrs
To make matters even more intense, the Pluto-Uranus square is caught up with Jupiter and Mars to form a Grand Cross in the heavens at the time of these two eclipses.
And at the same time Mars is retrograde as part of the ‘Grand Cross’, producing dam-bursting aggression and sudden shifts in the house area Mars occupies in your birth chart, and especially (according to Vedic Astrology) in matters of right organisation and right living and getting your home organised properly.
In fact, not only Mars is retrograde at this time with all the strange issues that retrogradation raises in our lives designed to get us to relate to the energies of the retrograde planets properly, Saturn is retrograde too, and in Vedic astrology this is linked to the retrograde North Node (Rahu) (fortunately receiving a blessing aspect from Jupiter) with Saturn, Rahu and Jupiter all three calling on us all to face the work, and do the work, of getting our relationship right.
How will this affect you???
Well, how you will be affected depends on whether the transiting planets of the Grand Cross fall conjunct one of the planets in your birth chart.
How you will be affected depends on whether one of the three retrograde planets aspects a planet in your birth chart
How you will be affected depends on whether the key parts of wither or both of the eclipses falls on a planet in your birth chart?
Of course, even if a planet in your birth chart is not activated by the Grand Cross, the retrogradation or the Eclipses, the houses in your birth chart where these planets are transiting will be affected.
Me personally? Just to let you know, in the eclipse of 15th April, the eclipsed Moon was right on my Sun in my birth chart.
Also the Sun of the eclipse was within 2 deg of the Moon in my birth chart (it was actually on Maggie’s natal Moon itself)
And retrograde Mars is hacking its way through my 7th House of relationships.
And I knew of someone who broke their writs on the eve of the eclipse and can’t drive … and so on.
So, what is the energy of the Pluto-Uranus square itself?
Intense, controlling Pluto and freedom-fighting Uranus are engaged in a three-year series of harsh, 90-degree angles, called “squares” that affect everyone, but affect Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra. Pluto is now at 10 deg Capricorn. Uranus is at 8 Aries. You need to allow an orb of say up to eight degrees to calculate how people will feel this energy.
So if you have your Sun, Moon or one of your planets, or your Ascendant around 3 deg to 15 deg of the signs Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra, you will feel the fullest impact of the energy of this long-running recurrent square aspect in the heavens at some point over the period June 2012 to April 2015.
I have certainly had loads of clients with Sun around 8 deg to 10deg Aries recently who have had their lives turned upside down, basically because the dam needed to burst. But will they have done the right thing?
From 2012-15, there will be seven “exact” squares, when the two celestial bodies are at the exactly same degree. During these periods, we’ll feel the tension strongest, but it will always be there quite strongly between the exacts:
This is actually an epic energy combination operating in our lives. Unpredictable driven forces at work here that need to be understood and worked with in a spiritual way.

And remember, it is not just your life that is involved in this energy. The future path of humanity is also being forged because this aspect affects the whole world possibilities for transformation – for good or ill.
The outer planets: Uranus, Neptune and Pluto incite and invite us to go beyond the known. They awaken consciousness and alter how we see ourselves as creators through time. The square of Uranus to Pluto is sure to radically alter how we move and manifest, as spirits in a body.
A square is urgent energy, and with Uranus and Pluto, we have two of the great cosmic awakeners. So the potential we will be called to respond to now is to discover who we are, and to awaken powers that have been suppressed or dormant.
Pluto’s method is elimination, excavation, clearing out. Things rise from the shadows to be faced, confronted, transformed.
Uranus method is revolution and driven tension, spasmodic surprise.
The old is cracked open. New fertile landscapes are created. Raw energies are released. We need to identify our goals, our sense of mission and where we want to break through!
Pluto is in Capricorn. It’s a very good time for Capricorns. Capricorn is about responsibility, ambition, tradition and ancestry, also social structures. With Pluto there’ll be letting go and breakthrough and being the phoenix arising from the ashes: the bird that spreads its wings. With Pluto ruling the underworld, things might be happening that aren’t openly apparent yet.
What does it all mean for you?
Here is a gestalt of the possible manifestations of the Grand Cross Energies. Obviously this is a guideline for understanding. No one manifests all of the possible manifestations of this indicative gestalt. I cover the four sides of the Grand Cross, one by one:
1. POINT: URANUS/PLUTO
PRINCIPLE: Revolution. The collapse of the old order. The process of transformation
PSYCHOLOGICAL:
+ restlessness. Activity. Creative energy. Flight from the establishment. Innovation, reform. A strong awareness of purpose and objective. Mobility. Creative power. Untiring effort. endurance
– impatience. Scatter of energies. Fanaticism. Violence. Precipitate action. The mania of destruction
C: daring and foolhardiness. Striving for new things. Extraordinary powers of creation and performance.
BIOLOGICAL: changes in rhythm of biological processes. The relationship between pulse and breathing. Fever spots.
SOCIOLOGICAL: pioneers, reformers. People who are very much out of the ordinary or who are endowed with universal genius.
PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
+ the attainment of great objectives by immense application of effort. Bringing new things into being. The creation of new conditions of living
– acts of violence. Subversive activities. Putting a gun to someone’s head. The enforcement of decisions. An accident.
2. POINT: MARS/PLUTO
PRINCIPLE: superhuman power. Force. brutality
PSYCHOLOGICAL:
+ the ability to demonstrate extraordinary force and vigour. Great self-confidence. Obsession: working without break. Great ambition
– attainment of one’s own objectives by means of ruthless to others. Brutality. Cruelty
C: a person who wants to use force or compulsion at every occasion
BIOLOGICAL: the replacement of natural organs by artificial replacements.
SOCIOLOGICAL: piece workers also being paid overtime rates. Ruthless sportsmen. People disabled in war
PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
+ the attainment of success through excessive effort
– the tendency to proceed in a brutal manner. The misfortune of suffering violent assaults and injuries.
3. POINT: MARS/JUPITER
PRINCIPLE: successful creative activity
PSYCHOLOGICAL:
+ will-power directed harmoniously. Love of enterprise. Joy of living. Active pride in life. Sense of honour. Urge for freedom. Organizing talent. Creative power. Ability to procreate
– rebellious. Exaggeration. Haste. Immoderation.
C: power to concentrate on a particular objective. Energy. Ambition. Decisiveness. Able to cope with every situation
BIOLOGICAL: the activity of the organs. Smooth muscular tissue. The heart muscle. The first cry at birth
SOCIOLOGICAL: the capable organizer. The persona who successfully produces. Learned and educated people. Academics within the legal profession. Civil servants
PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
+ successful enterprises. Fortunate business deals. Success in profession. Agreements. Getting engaged. births
– settlement of conflicts. Clearing the air after a dispute. Kicking against the tutelage. Marital difference.
4. POINT: JUPITER/URANUS
PRINCIPLE: Sudden release of strain. Optimism, lucky chance, blissful realization. Ungroundedness.
PSYCHOLOGICAL:

BIOLOGICAL: the organic rhythm, e.g. peristalsis, spastic fits or disorders, convulsions
SOCIOLOGICAL: organizers, inventors, adventurers. Fortune hunters
PROBABLE MANIFESTATIONS:
+ release of tension or strain. fortunate turns in life. Sudden change in destiny. Sudden recognition. Successful speculation
– missing opportunities. Arguments on philosophical issues
