Astrology and Healing Newsletter August 2019 Time for Action

Here is the Astrology and Healing Newsletter for August 2019.

Start Summary:

August is very much about recognising the crucial life-meaning of pressure areas and issues in our life, and now taking action.

As can be felt by the spiritually sensitive, the transiting Saturn-Ketu conjunction which is running all this year, is a very tough combination. We want to cling to our Saturn habits cemented in in this lifetime or brought from past lives. Depression and pessimism are often the danger – especially when Saturn is Retrograde in the heavens, as he is now.

But Ketu destroys. Ketu destroys our Saturn blocks – but for spiritual purpose. And if we block Ketu, his energy gets angry.

So, ask yourself: what are the blocked stuck scripts in your life now???
How are they manifesting now?
Name the ones you are clinging to.
And name the ways Ketu is smashing them.

Decide how you can cooperate with the current breakdown of unwanted, unhelpful scripts and bring in the needed break-through, to achieve a happier more fulfilling life!

Use wisdom and insight, and healing methods and magical transformation. Use these to consciously and wisely embrace the new and get over the old stuck ‘you’. Fundamentalism is no good. What’s needed is inspiration and the magical, inspirational, healing approach.

What is needed is the death and rebirth of no-longer needed scripts (if they were ever needed in the first place, indeed!!).

Now let’s look more at the detail of the planetary energies affecting our consciousness and our lives in August 2019:

1. The transiting Saturn – Ketu (South Node) conjunction:

As I said in the Introduction, the big thing to be understood in our lives is what is the imperative call of the transiting Saturn – Ketu (South Node) conjunction. Identify what is its unavoidable demand, now, in your individual life.
Is the nature of the demand becoming clear for you now?

Ask yourself: what are you going to do about it now?

The Saturn-Ketu conjunction has been operative: transiting in Vedic Sagittarius, in the heavens, all year. Pluto is there too. And you must also take into account the thrust and drive of Rahu, North Node, transiting opposite. That’s huge in your life too.

It’s important to realise that the Saturn-Ketu conjunction and Rahu, opposite, are not the only transformational power running in your life now, but it’s vast, and it’s an energy of pretty vast Reformation.

For the needed good astrological perception and guidance, you need to look particularly, first at the nature of the energy of Saturn-Ketu.
You need to look at it second, in terms of the sign it transits: Vedic Sagittarius.
Thirdly, note the life area and ruling planet of the House in your Vedic Birth that this conjunction is transiting.
And take very especial note of Rahu, too: the Sign, it’s Ruler and the House in your chart that Rahu is now transiting opposite: he transits Vedic Gemini now.

And of course, evaluate the Sa-Ke conjunction’s impact on any planets it conjuncts, opposes or forms other aspects to.

So, in my case, for example, Saturn and Ketu are transiting in my 6th House, which is largely about health, and certainly matters have been coming to a head in a couple of health issues caused by overworking and ignoring the warning signs last year. But I feel help is at hand, and I will bring in the needed changes of life-management. The balance between work and exercise is crucial. And I am determined to balance my work as an astrologer which is very computer-based, with a building project: building an extension for our guest room to create an AirBnB self-contained flat, here in the pure air and the beautiful land in the beautiful West of Ireland where I also run Tours to the ancient Sacred Sites and where I offer vision work there to contact the great energies of the Gods and Goddesses of the ancient Irish. I have been so lucky in the Healers I have found in the wonderful Sligo Healers community that is here.

Saturn and Ketu have been retrograding side by side since 30th April 2019, the date when Saturn turned Retrograde at 26 deg Vedic Sagittarius. They are within a degree of each other.
Saturn goes Direct on September 18th.
He is really making sure we understand his message and his demands. But what is his message and his demand in our individual life? Understand this powerful combination. See the chart for the 1st August New Moon, below, the Saturn Ketu conjunction shows up clearly in Vedic Sagittarius.
How does this relate to your chart? Your life? And also see the Ephemeris of planet movement for August shown below too in both Vedic and Western Astrology. You can book an Astrology Reading with me at: https://www.starwheelastrology.com/buyanastrologyreading.html

As I said in the introduction to this blog post, the transiting Saturn Ketu conjunction can most strongly be felt by the spiritually sensitive: Saturn-Ketu is a very tough combination. We want to cling to our Saturn habits cemented in in this lifetime or brought from past lives. Depression and pessimism are often the danger. But Ketu destroys. Ketu destroys our Saturn blocks but for spiritual purpose. If we block Ketu, now, his energy gets angry.

So check out: what are the blocked stuck scripts in your life now??? How are they manifesting now? Name the ones you are clinging to. Name the ways Ketu is smashing them. Decide how you can cooperate with the breakdown and bring in break through! Instead, use wisdom and insight to wisely embrace the new and get over the old stuck ‘you’. Fundamentalism is no good. What’s needed is inspiration and the healing/magical approach. Death and rebirth of no-longer needed scripts (if they were ever needed, indeed!).

There is a very big twist to the tail, too this year: Pluto comes into this too: Do note that from when transiting Ketu entered Vedic Sagittarius on 7th March, Ketu was conjoining transiting Pluto. The Ketu- Pluto energy is one of revolution: chaotic unpredictable power surge of reformation, and we are needing to assimilate that energy too. It does have a very precise individual meaning for us, our life, our destiny.

Now, Ketu retrogrades away from Pluto, and as from September 18th when Saturn goes Direct, Saturn will be closing to form an ever more powerful and exact transiting conjunction with Pluto, instead. It will be exact on 12th January 2020.

The Saturn Pluto combination can be ruthlessly held stuck energy, OR it can be a case of Saturn being the container, the chalice to hold the power manifestation that Pluto is.

In other words, from the Saturn Ketu transit, note that we have been forced to face our need to smash our blocks and acknowledge our need to open to inspiration and reformation and revolution. But now, with Saturn Pluto, we can go forth like the disciplined chalice bearer of death of rebirth transformation: Saturn containing Pluto.

And absolutely remember that Rahu North Node also comes into the mix of what we are all experiencing. The energy of Rahu is driven and obsessional. Rahu drives us. Rahu needs to be understood and purified or he will lead us into excess or shadow stuff. So, as an example, Rahu is transiting my Vedic Gemini 12th House. So for me to understand the divine message in this, I would need to note the position and state of the Ruler of Gemini in my Vedic birth chart. And I would also need to understand what are the affairs of the 12th house that Rahu is now activating for this 18-month period from when he entered Vedic Gemini on 7th March this year. One of the affairs of the 12th house is spirituality, and I am making great efforts behind the scenes (another 12th House feature) to develop additional healing and magical course and readings and on-line journeys. 2. New Moon 1st August 2019:

This is the first of THREE lunations in August 2019. See the chart below. Here in Sligo, in the West of Ireland, it’s at 04.12 hrs, it’s at 14 Vedic Cancer in the (yes) pushy (or, actually, we say it’s caring) 8th Nakshatra of Pushyami.
The New Moon is the Dark of the Moon. It’s best to keep your life more contemplative and quiet, at this moment. Sit within yourself. Locate the centre that will clear the stress and allow your inspiration and sensitivity to guide you and express itself. Become open to the message of the new phase start that applies in your case, that will grow to the energy of the Full Moon on 15th August. Note the locations of these in your natal chart.

Pushyamis are pushy, but they do have a very spiritual side, and so this sets a good energy for the time up to the Full Moon, and is very good for them, especially.

This New Moon is square Uranus, so do watch out for inspiration and the new way of handling issues.

3. Full Moon 15th August 2019:

I’ll do a video and blog post about this nearer the time. See the chart below. It, too, is in Vedic Capricorn/Dhanishta. Very transformative for these people.

4. New Moon 30th August 2019:

I’ll do a video and blog post about this too, nearer the time. Sit is in Leo/Magha. See the chart below.

5. Kal Sarpa Yoga:

Kal Sarpa Yoga is a divisive and preposterous energy that is created when all the planets are to one side of the Nodal Axis.

Some people with Kal Sarpa Yoga are very divisive and ranting and hurtful. But others can overcompensate the other way and be too diffident. Others, again, can have a big challenge keeping their mind’s secure, calm and steady due to being born into very divisive parental situations.

Please note that the definition of Kal Sarpa Yoga and it energy must not be strictly limited to cases where all the Vedic planets are to one side of the Nodal axis.
I would say that the same energy holds in force in the case where some planets might be the other side of the nodal axis, but are in the same sign as the Nodes.
And I would also say that the same energy holds in force when all the planets are to one side of the nodal axis except for one planet that is alone and unsupported to the other side of the nodal axis. An unsupported Moon alone with all the planets to one side of the nodal axis causes lots of weakness and insecurity for the mind. It’s called Kemadruma Yoga, and is tough to have in your birth chart.

It’s really helpful to be aware when Kal Sarpa Yoga is in force in the heavens, because forewarned is forearmed, and then you can try to stabilise the mind and not be drawn up into the grip of negative mind-plays: easier said than done, of course!

Please note that Kal Sarpa Yoga exists from 1st to 12th August. On 13th August, the Moon enters Vedic Capricorn thus moving to the other side of the nodal axis from all the other planets: but as I have said above, this is a very unsupported fearful divisive conflicted moon. The Kal Sarpa energy still exists despite the Moon being on the other side of the axis.

Moon joins Rahu in Vedic Gemini on 25th August, and so the classic Kal Sarpa remain in the heavens for the rest of August.

We are back to the phenomenon of unsupported Moon on 9th to 22nd September, with similar burst on subsequent months, but please note that I would not say the Kal Sarpa Yoga energy is really broken until 13th January 2020, when Mercury and Venus are both outside the Nodal axis, and all other Vedic planets inside.

We need to watch out mind-plays and avoid weakening depression on the one hand or anger and divisiveness and rage on the other hand.

6. Chiron is Retrograde:

Chiron moves retrograde from 12 to 11 Pisces in the Vedic sidereal zodiac. That’s 6 to 5 deg western tropical Aries.

This is really important, if Chiron will be aspecting a natal planet of yours, especially if the aspect is a conjunction or an opposition.

I came across a recent example of a person who had been written off as a bit dyslexic at school. Chiron is now opposition his natal Mercury-Chiron and he is learning to teach English as a Foreign Language and also actually earning another foreign language. The present transit of Rahu through Vedic Gemini obviously helps this tee. Never forget to look for the effects of Chiron in your predictive astrology.
Remember that Chiron is our Existential Wound in the healing of which we can learn to heal others. But also remember that we each have to deal with the shame that surrounds our wound. Chiron natally is where we feel broken, ashamed and inadequate. We have to go down into the abyss and face whatever is wounded, wrong’, repressed, inadequate or unacceptable about ourself. We have to face it so that we can deal with it, so that we can arise from the abyss healed and with a healing energy that shines and can benefit others.

If you don’t face the shame and deal with the pain, you don’t heal: you end up in denial. You really feel, deep down, more and more inadequate and ashamed. The ‘official you’ ends up fighting with the ‘denied you’. There’s a bad case of you and you’re your denied shadow. When you feel shame, guilt, or inadequacy, ask yourself what part of your self you are trying to hide, to live a lie about. That’s the part of you that you must learn to love, and then heal.

When Chiron is retrograde, it is a very good time to face your shadow, bring it to the light, and become Healed! Whole! Contact me for a Chiron reading: What is your existential wound?

7. Planets Overall Summary August 2019:

Here’s a helpful resume. For full detail, see the Ephemeris, set out below:

Mars and Sun move into Leo where they can show their strength and confidence. However, Sun and Mars finally get into exact conjunction on August 31st, and as this nears, watch out for temper!

Venus and Mercury also enter Leo, so from 26th August there are four planets in Leo. Check out what house from your Ascendant Leo is to work out what sort of positive or negative issues this four-planet presence in Leo will cause in your life.

Note especially that when Venus is very close to the Sun, this is not good for matters of love: Venus is burned by the Sun ego – so monitor what is going on from the middle to the end of August in matters of love and take special efforts to create a happy home.

Four planets will cross Cancer-Leo Gandanta in August. There can be a need to be careful at such a time, but watch for Inspiration.

Jupiter goes direct this month. This will raise blessing and optimism. It’s good for Pisces and Sagittarius emphasised people. Check out what House in your Vedic natal chart Jupiter is transiting through in Scorpio: that will tell you the life area where Jupiter’s blessing and purpose will now re-manifest.

But watch out for different twists to the tail when Jupiter enters the Gandanta zone at the end of Vedic Scorpio/beginning of Vedic Sagittarius (Jyestha to Mula Nakshatras).

The Kal Sarpa Yoga creates divisive energy all month. Be careful not to be drawn in!

The Saturn Ketu exact conjunction is in force all August.

Next, here’s a date summary:

July 31st               Mercury goes direct after a retrograde inflamed by Mars.

August:

1st                         New Moon in Cancer/Pushyami

2nd                         Mercury re-enters Cancer

6th                        Mars in exact debilitation degree at 28º Cancer
6th  to 12th          Mars crosses the Cancer Leo Gandanta zone
8th                        Mars moves into Leo (see Below)

11th                       Uranus turns Retrograde
11th                     Jupiter goes direct in Scorpio. Jupiter transits Jyeshta Nakshatra to 4th Nov 2019

12th                       Venus combustion starts: Venus joined with the Sun is damaged.

15th                     Full Moon in Capricorn/Dhanistha; Sun in Cancer/Ashlesha nakshatra
15th                     Sun-Venus conjunction in Cancer

16th                     Sun enters Leo, via the Cancer Leo Gandanta zone
16th                     Venus crosses Cancer-Leo Gandanta zone
16th                       Mercury is square Uranus

24th                       Venus conjunct Mars

25th to 26th       Mercury crosses the Cancer-Leo Gandanta zone

26th                      Mercury enters Leo

30th                      New Moon in Leo/Magha accompanied by Sun, Mars, Mercury and Venus. Sun/Moon, Venus, Mars, Mercury oppose Neptune.

And here’s a ‘planet by planet’ summary:

Sun moves from 14 Vedic Cancer to 13 Vedic Leo, entering Vedic Leo on 17th August.
That’s 8 deg Leo to 7 deg Virgo using the Western Tropical zodiac, with Sun entering western Virgo on 24th August.

Mercury ends his retrogradation of July 31st. He is at 29 deg Vedic Gemini for the first two days of August, then he enters Vedic Cancer on 3rd August, entering Vedic Leo on 26th August. In western tropical zodiac, Mercury moves from 23 Cancer to 3 deg Virgo.

Venus transits Vedic Leo from August 16th to September 9th. Venus starts August at 11 deg Vedic Cancer, entering Vedic Leo on 17th August, ending August at 18 deg Vedic Leo. In western tropical zodiac, Venus moves from 4 Leo to 11 Virgo.

Mars completes his transit of Vedic Cancer where he is debilitated and enters Vedic Leo from August 8th to September 24th. Mars starts August at 25 Vedic Cancer, but enters Vedic Leo on 9th August, ending the month at 14 deg Vedic Leo. In the western Tropical Zodiac, Mars enters August at 19 Leo, entering Virgo on 19th August, and finishes August at 8 Virgo. Mars crosses the Cancer-Leo Gandanta 6th to 12th August.

Jupiter starts August Retrograde at 20 Scorpio, but he turns Direct on 12th August, still at 20 Scorpio. And he ends August still at that same degree: 20 Vedic Scorpio. So, Jupiter is in effect Stationary in August, but he has made the crucial turn to begin his forward movement. He now leaves Vedic Scorpio, but transits of course through the unworldly but potentially inspirational Gandanta Zone and enters Vedic Sagittarius, his own sign (albeit with the Saturn-Ketu conjunction and Pluto there as well). Jupiter will be in Sagittarius and Saturn in Capricorn, their own signs, from January 23rd to – November 19th , 2020.
In the western tropical zodiac, Jupiter moves through 14 to 15 deg Sagittarius.

Saturn retrogrades from 21 to 20 Vedic Sagittarius. In western astrology, that’s 15 to 14 deg Capricorn. Always the big imperative during a Saturn Retrograde is to avoid pessimism and depression, and to make the effort to get things into order and proper focus, using diligence, patience and hard work.

Uranus spends August at 12 deg Vedic Aries. He starts August Direct, but actually turns Retrograde on 12th August. This is 6 deg western Taurus using the tropical western zodiac. Look out for revolutionary driven change if you have planets in your birth chart that are aspected by Uranus now.

Neptune is retrograde all August from 24 to 23 deg Vedic Aquarius. That’s 21 to 20 western Capricorn.

Pluto is retrograde all August from 27 to 26 Vedic Sagittarius. That’s 21 to 20 Vedic Capricorn.

Chiron moves retrograde from 12 to 11 Pisces in the Vedic sidereal zodiac. That’s 6 to 5 deg western tropical Aries.
